MacBook Pro

The MacBook Pro with retina display is a combination of great performance and display with aesthetic design. It comes in two sizes 13 inch and 15 inch each having 4 and 5 million pixels respectively. The number of pixels are mindblowing and when you get Intel iris graphics chip to power these pixels then the display quality is one of its kind. The 4th gen intel processors provide enough power to the machine. You can get a maximum of 2.8 GHz dual core i7 on the 13 inch and 2.6 GHz quad core i7 on the 15 inch and a maximum of 16 GB of memory on both models. You can get upto a TB of flash storage in both the models but they get very expensive then. I would reccomend a 256 GB flash storage because on the go you won't require more storage than that and you can get a USB 3 external hard drive of a TB or two at a very reasonable price. Both the models the an HDMI output and can power a 4K display. On the 13 inch model you get Iris graphics and on the 15 inch you get Iris Pro graphics and you also have a choice to add NVIDIA 750M with 2 GB DDR5 memory. You also get great battery life on both the models. Both have latest wifi and bluetooth, and of course OS X Mavericks. If you think you require a lot of power then go with MacBook Pro or else have a look at MacBook Air.
