September 9 Event

We all know that the iPhone/s will be launched on this day but the wait is to see what will they be. iPhones are definitely not the only thing apple will launch. The Apple Watch 2 and a newer Apple TV are also expected in this event and as usual the new iPads and Macs will be launched later in October. Keep checking the blog for more info.

Today is the Day

Get ready to watch the Apple's WWDC today at 10:30 p.m. IST.

MacBook

MacBook is Apple's smallest Mac till date. It is very good in terms of performance, build quality, display and battery. The problem I saw in it was missing ports. USB and 3.5 mm jack are two ports which are essential in every laptop. Though, Apple introduced USB-C port which is to be used for power, HDMI and USB, but this port will take time to gain popularity and all the devices you have with USB port such as pen drives, external hard disks or the headphones with 3.5 mm jack won't work with this MacBook. And it costs 1 lakh rupees in India. I would recommend you to stay away from it. Buy a MacBook Air 13 inch or MacBook Pro with Retina Display. They both are better than this.

Apple Watch

Launching on April 24 in US and few other countries, the Apple Watches start at $349 for the aluminium version and go upto $17,000 gold. They will launch in India probably by May end or June. They will most probably start at ₹25,000 and it is very unlikely for Apple to sell the Gold version watches in India as their availability is at very limited store, but if they comes then it will cost somewhere between ₹ 7-15 lakhs. I personally prefer the $349, Apple Watch Sport not just because of its price but also because of the body. It is very light in weight and because of the matte finish of aluminium it is scratch resistant. It is perfect for wearing throughout the day without feeling something heavy in the hand. Though, you may prefer the stainless steel version as it gives a formal look and of course for those with plenty of money, there is Apple Watch Edition made up of 18 karat gold.

Surprise

Apple did had a lot planned. Besides the Apple Watch, we saw the highly rumoured 12 inch MacBook. It's design and looks are stunning, in terms of performance it doesn't match the MacBook Pros which now have 5th gen Intel processors. Apple TV didn't get an update but its price has been reduced to $69 which should cost nearly ₹5000 making it quite cheap. Additionally the HBO NOW at $14.99 was launched but to be honest it is useless for people in India. Keep checking my blog for more details on today's event.

Apple is going to have an event on March 9, 2015 to release the Apple watch and maybe something more. iPad Pro and MacBooks with 5th Gen Intel Processors are also expected.
